Dr. Carroll is Director of the Voice Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School. After completing his BA in music from Oberlin College, he received his M.D. from Wright State University, residency training at the University of Colorado, and completed a two-year clinical and research laryngology fellowship at the UPMC Voice Center. His research focuses on the symptom overlap of glottic insufficiency and laryngopharyngeal reflux disease. He has a special interest in non-acidic reflux and chronic cough. He serves on the Scientific Advisory board for Sofregen Medical Inc. Dr. Carroll was part of the team that developed and brought to market Silk Voice TM, a novel long term vocal fold augmentation material administered through a novel, endonasal catheter delivery system.
